How to find an Utaite for newbies

Utaite: (歌い手) is a Japanese term for people who cover previously released songs and post them on Nico Nico Douga and YouTube under theutattemita category. The term “utaite” is unique to Nico Nico Douga singers, making it different from Kashu (歌手), which means “singer” in general.

Generally, utaite do cover songs for VOCALOID original songs, anime and game related songs, and J-Pop. They also do parodies with different lyrics for popular songs, intended for amusement.- you can read more on this link

First step is just search some of them on youtube because basically they will post their songs either on youtube or on Nico Nico Douga. But Nico website just work on japan only and maybe some other country (I dunno).so the univerdal option is youtube.Or if you’re lucky you’ll find some on soundcloud.I’ll just give one of them on youtube

Secondly, find them on media social usually you’ll only find some fanpage on Facebook just follow them anyway because they’ll update some news aboit utaite.Utaite actually really active on twitter, just follow some utaite like Mafumafu, Soraru, Alfakyun and you’ll be given many reccomendation utaite account to follow.You’ll see their interaction with each other like a big family, they also interact with many vocaloid producers because some utaite also a vocaloid song producer.

Last but not least, I suggest you to play some music beat game like Osu! and some other on your smartphone like Hachi Hachi,Zyon,VOEZ,Dynamix or Cytus. Many great utaite’s name you’ll found on these game. Just stop being a lazy ok.That’s all from me.See you later…
